Before starting training, an in-person consultation is required.*

This session will focus on discussing your training goals, the behaviors you are looking to address, and your dog’s history. During this meeting, I am also observing any behaviors that may be occurring (within reason - my main focus is always on your dog’s comfort level so I often do not need to see a behavior happen in order to begin working on a solution), as well as your dog’s body language and comfort level with me. I want to make sure your dog feels confident and relaxed during our sessions, so the consultation also gives your dog a chance to meet their new trainer! We will also discuss any management techniques that need to be put into place and some foundation skills you can start working on. Consultations generally last 45 minutes to an hour.

Following the consultation, you will receive a follow up to review what we discussed and give you some “homework” to review before our first session.

Private lessons are 60 minutes long and scheduled depending on your dog’s needs and progress. A schedule will be discussed during your initial consultation and may be adjusted as we go.

Each lesson includes a write-up of skills discussed during that session and homework to work on before your next appointment. You will also be provided with demonstration videos for any applicable skills! Your trainer will be available for email or text support and you’ll have the option to send videos of your practice for review and coaching.

Four Sessions ($445): Ideal for basic manners such as sit, stay, leave it, recall, and loose leash walking

Six Sessions ($615): The best option for someone looking to get a solid grasp on basic manners + some extra work on distractions. Also suited for dogs with minor behavioral concerns like mild resource guarding, anxiety, or leash reactivity.

Eight Sessions ($810): Designed for pups who need a little extra help! Perfect for dogs struggling with more severe reactivity, aggression or anxiety. Also a great option for achieving more advanced goals like off-leash recall and walking, focus in distracting environments, or going beyond basic manners at home.

One of the most critical parts of training your dog is consistency. It’s important to practice daily and work these new skills into your daily routine. Unfortunately, sometimes life gets in the way. Our Walk & Train service is designed to solve that issue!

Walk & Train sessions are a great chance for your dog to get some exercise, but it’s more than a typical walking service. Emily will pick your dog up and take them on a training adventure at the park, a dog friendly store, or around your neighborhood. During the session, your pup will get some decompression time, along with working on behaviors such as leash reactivity, loose leash walking, and focus in the world. Each session is an hour long (includes travel time for any field trips outside your neighborhood). After the walk, you’ll receive a video and detailed write up of what was worked on.

Single Session ($95): Have a busy day and just want your dog to get out of the house and practice? A single session will give your dog the chance to practice leash walking, recall, or a field trip to work around distractions!

Four Sessions ($360): A great way to get some extra help with loose-leash walking, mild reactivity, and socialization.

For young puppies (8wks - 6mo)

Welcoming a new puppy into your life is a magical thing, but can be overwhelming - potty training, sharp teeth, and a ton of energy! “The Little Gremlin” package is designed to help ease the transition and set your new family member up for success!

During our lessons together, we’ll cover all the important things: troubleshooting common issues (like housebreaking and biting and chewing), handling for grooming and nail trims, and basic manners. You’ll receive a lesson summary, video tutorials, and things to practice before your next lesson.

During our two hour Adventure, your puppy and I will go on some exciting outings into the world to work on socialization, confidence building, and focus. After our Adventure, you’ll receive a Report Card that outlines your puppy’s accomplishments, a video of their experience, and a summary of skills introduced.

For dogs 6 months and older

This package is perfect for the adolescent dog who needs some basic life skills or an older dog looking to learn some new tricks!

During our lessons, we can cover manners such as sit, stay, leave it, drop it, and greeting visitors. Get some extra practice and the perks of having a professional “jump start” the skills during Walk & Train sessions where I’ll focus on skills such as loose leash walking and recall.

While this package is not appropriate for dogs with major behavioral concerns, it may be helpful for dogs experiencing minor leash reactivity due to frustration or over-excitement.

Looking to address some more serious behaviors like anxiety or leash reactivity? This package will focus on introducing management techniques at home and building strong foundations. Once your pup is ready to take those skills out into the world, Emily will carefully plan field trips to practice those behaviors without causing your dog stress or discomfort.

This package is also a great option for excitable dogs or those hoping to master some more advanced manners like settling in public places, loose-leash walking downtown, and going on off-leash hikes.
